1. You can clearly see the W shaped route of the ‘W’ walk from this map of the park.
2. You did pack the wet weather gear didn’t you Pascoe? That night it rained hard and water did get in some how. Something about the fly sheet not actually touching the tent so one of the other campers told us the next day.
3. Luckily Pascoe actually enjoys cooking, but even he could only do so much with 4 days of tuna and pasta.
4. Cards were the evening’s entertainment. We could have listened to music too as I’d carefully packed my portable speakers, unfortunately not my MP3 player. I must have left it with the wet weather gear. (N.B. That is a carton of wine in the foreground. The wine and rum were the heaviest items).

7. Why I stole the sign I have no idea as I was struggling to carry my pack as it was
8. Somewhere towards the end of day 3 and I’m starting to feel the Paine. Pascoe kindly carried the tent for this last hour. The young do have their uses occasionally.
9. The last day at 4.30 and clouds everywhere. We’ve scrambled up a cliff face for 45 minutes to this view point. Seeing the dawn from here is supposed to be the highlight of the 4 days so we were quite depressed.
10. In the 70 km/h gale, it was so so so cold, way below freezing. The stove couldn’t even get the water warm. I am hunkered down in my sleeping bag. How Pascoe laughed when I was lugging it up from the camp site. Can you see the smug grin on my face now.
11. But when the clouds cleared and dawn came, it was all worth it.
12. And Los Tres Torres were lit up in spectacular fashion
13. By lunch time we were back at the park entrance incredulous that we were alive.
Ed all these sites are beggining to look the same. It appears that the only things changing are the models, signs and cloths. Where are you really ?
Models…what bloody models? If the models you are looking at Ichan are anything like the ‘things’ in the pictures…well ’tis a sad day for you. Now where is my copy of Razzle?
yes you are right we r all sad only to find out that ed is in Ingy…. with real hot babes, in winter of course and I am here in my summer enjoying my own little groove.
