  1. Ed – This is not a plan. It has not changed since day one. I assume that, apart from changing the 1 month CELTA course to a not quite 1 month course you should also change the location of the paragliding course – that is if they have that on the curicculum in South African gaols.

  2. Oi Ed, roughly when are you coming to South America, and which countries? Lord and I could meet up with you.

  3. Hi Ed, glad to hear you’re having a great aventure despite the near death experience. But you’re alive to tell the tale so all is well.
Mikey just emailed me to give you tips on Ecuador. Now it’s been a few years since I was there (12), but there are plenty of language schools – both for learning spanish and teaching English. I was payiong $3 per hour for 1:1 tuition, and learnt most of the A-level spanish syllabus in 6 weeks, 4 hours per day.
I reckon the best country was Colombia – make sure you take you’re dancing shoes! If there is a gathering of 4 or more people in Colombia, it turns into a party – just beware of the aguadiente! Also not to be missed is Torres del Peine national park in the South of Chile – best time to go is january when you can walk the circuit.
I’m just back from Base Camp Everest where we trekked to raise funds for Motor Neurone Disease association – see http://www.pinkcoffin.co.uk .
    Best of luck, have fun,
    x Marcie

  4. Touche
From Jen Sharpe in Joburg where I’ll attend an interview to teach English in Japan on Tuesday the 15th of May.
Greetings all you Shamwanas, if Clive needs Canon’s email address (he’s relocated to NYC) I’d be glad to let him have it.
I was looking for the Shamwanas in Zambia, and landed up here. Sounds like your plan Ed. Happy landings. Nice pic of all of you at Lusaka Airport.
    A Dios

  5. Ed, did they teach you that on your Prince2 course? Re-base the ‘plan’ and put ‘completed’ against all the items. I guess that means you’re ‘on schedule’? Most impressive…

  6. Hi Mikey, What they did teach us was to alter the dates retrospectively so that they reflect what actually happened, then put conpleted, and trust that noone will ever look at the previous versions of the plan. Brilliant :-)
