I’m Edward Mutepu Shamwana, born 16th October 1961 (Libra) in Hampstead, London, UK. Dad was from Zambia, mum English and at the moment I profess to be Zambian, but that’s until it suits to be British
Ed, you must have searched long & hard for the geekiest pic you could find of yourself. Well done. You do know it was a mistake to send us the link to your blog, don’t you?
Ed, great picture – it proves your true worth, you have the fancy kit but nothing to plug it in to. Perhaps that answers your question about a lack of questions about ‘Mid Life Crisis II (The unexpected years)’. See you for the eclipse, enjoy Zambia and your trip straight back to London and BA.
do you think any of us are interested in your star sign being libra, those who are interested can work it out for themselves. Softball season starts in twelve weeks see you for the first pitch
Hi Jim, Having a bit of a problem getting the map to work properly and don’t have easy internet access here in Cape Town. Should be back in Zambia in early May and hope to sort things out then. Cheers, Ed
Ed, Dolly is not very happy with you for not getting intouch enroute to Peru as agreed. I love your pics at Chris’s party, what a party! and 40, noway!!!!. Chhris if you get to read this, please drop me a line on my email.
Have a great time Ed and always remember there is someone who cares for you here in Reading – me
Take care,
Hey Ed, Howzit!! Sounds like your having a great adventure there in South America!
‘S been ages, the celta course, etc, feels like a lifetime ago….things
have changed here so much since we were last in touch.
I am now working full time at EF in Kloof St Cape Town for R56 per hour -
which is near impossible to survive on! Naeema works there too. Have bought
a car and moved out of Brandos after we had a massive falling out – we
havebn’t spoken since and he still owes me R2000!!
Moved to Mowbray/Obz area sharing with a Dutch girl, Genie who is very nice
and normal unlike Brando but not half as much fun.
Me and Lebo are not together anymore sadly and so I’m having to effectively
start over making friends all over again since I think Naeema is the only
person who I still know since the start.
The high and excitment of being in a new place has most definately worn off
and this middle period has been a lot tougher. The drama just doesn’t stop!
I got bitten by a HIV postivie child at the hospital at the weekend so that
was a big scare – but went to hospt proper and they said it would be ok.
I had a fantastic time in Mozambique soon of the piccies are on facebook if
you search for Roz Miles.
Well hope youre well and enjoying your travels – how’s the Spanish?
Keep well,
Lots of love Roz xxx

Remember me. Don Simpson, my mother Margaret used to be in charge of the kids golf at Lusaka. remember the Lusaka hairy’s? Great days not forgotten. If you get this please return contact. lots to tell.

Well played – the perfect theme for your blog page – it is almost as if they were expecting you!
I like the map. Much like a “Where’s Waldo” book. I still can’t find the 4th arrow.
