Buenos Aires by Carlos Pellegrini
It took a bit longer than expected to cover the 660 miles between Iguazu and Buenos Aires. Four days infact, but for once this was as planned.
Stopped off in Carlos Pelligrini to visit Los Esteros del Ibera a huge nature reserve, providing the oppotunity to infuse my body with a healthy dose of nature and reality, in readiness for the madness of Buenos Aires. Two excellent days of horse riding, boating on the marshes and walks.
1. I’m leading by an ‘ed

And so on to BA. The weekend of 10th November was proving to be a vortex for almost every traveller I had met over the last three months, and every conversation reiterated how crazy the Creamfields concert was going to be. I arrived on the Thursday before and immediately went to bed for the next 48 hours.
Saturday came and went, it’s Monday now, no idea what happened to Sunday, but I’m still alive. Yippee I’m still alive.
River Plate game this Thursday, back onto familiar and safer territory. I’m told there are museums, great architecture, and fantastic parks here too, but think I’ll save those for next visit.
Hasta Luego

Which ‘ed?
Hahahahahahahaahahahaha….all that way and you up back at BA…was it worth it?
Tired of the nature shots..where’s the smut from the weekend.?
Sorry Zabou, the photo lab accidentally destroyed all the pictures from Creamfields. Really annoying.
You were right Mikey – it was mid October!
Please tell me you at least tangoed??? And did you know in days gone by male tango dancers had to practise with…. other males….
Even I managed to get around BA with no hassle….ok that was me..you are a different story!!!!
BA ?? you went to Banda Aceh as well ?? How did you do that ? by horse ? Probably more comfortable than some airlines I know of..
Ed, I’m sure you knew this of course but you don’t seem to have mentioned it – the River Plate game was on WEDNESDAY, not Thursday. Of course you didn’t miss it, did you? And whaddaya know – they were playing Arsenal and despite a 0-0 draw, the Arse got through on penalties. You go half-way round the world & still end up seeing boring Arsenal draw. Or not, as the case may be…
Mikey, I was hoping noone would spot the not so deliberate mistake. I was sitting in a bar having a beer when the game came on the TV. Four of us all got the day wrong. Doh!
Off to watch Argentina vs Bolivia this afternoon. Possibly.
Hi Margarithe, Tango, isn’t that a type of orange fizzy drink. Yeh had loads.
N.B.Last week I booked my ticket home …. on Pluna. Who the heck are they? I think they only have 1 plane big enough to fly overseas. Ivan, I think I may well end up in Banda Aceh.
Does the plane have a chicken on top???
Ed, you’re lucky – at least the game was on TV. If you’d just turned up at an empty stadium the day after that would have been even more disappointing (though not for us). By the way, please don’t come home – we’re having way too much fun reading about all your screw-ups, I mean adventures. And which home exactly are you going to for Xmas? Or should all 3 sets of Shams cook your Xmas dinner just in case your plans change at the last minute?
I actually have a load more Buenos Aires cockups i’m a bit loath to share but no doubt they will find their way into a story somewhere. I read the Pluna website … very little chance of them flying me anywhere near Europe so the Shams are safe.
photo lab? is that the equivalent of a deep, dark closet?
Uncle Ed – all the Sham’s have moved just incase!!! I think it will be Christmas Dinner for you under Mikeys desk with a Mikey leg instead of a turkey leg!!! xxx
Zabou, double checked the closet and can confirm there are definitely no photos their. I did find a lot of skeletons though.
